This one showed up outside my chicken run, what kind is it?

He’s a bit beaten up and is skinny. I’m in the process of finding him a home. Hence he’s living in a cage in my SUV. I’d just caught him in pic. He now has food, water, and bedding.
 
Yeah, I thought some kind of game roo but no expert in chicken kinds ;) With the lack of comb I thought he might be a fighting rooster but he doesn’t seem to have much fight in him.
I’m looking to rehome him.
He got into my chicken and my alpha roo had him on the ground beating the tar out of him. His head was pretty bloody when I pulled him. Seems ok now.
He’s too skinny to eat and I’m not in the business of selling fertile eggs. Taking him to new home tomorrow.
 
Cock fighting is alive an well[not really well] in this part of the good ole USA :(


I hate the idea too. But regardless of how he got here, it was great of you to take him in, and he will have a MUCH better life for you caring about him. You're a good person. :)
