I say cockerel too. I raised a few Orpington roos and they both had pretty small combs (redder then my hen's combs) and shiny saddle feathers coming in just like yours does, but then they didn't crow until they were 7 months old. They were extremely docile compared to my EE roos. I gave them away this summer and I miss them greatly. Then my one hen who was the sister to the two brothers ran away or something got her =/ She had a very pale comb (almost white) until she was 5 months old then it got really red, but it stayed small and she started laying before the boys even crowed.
