So I'm driving along the road today in the country & reading the signs by the farms....

Organic Eggs for sale.

Organic strawberries 4 sale.

Organic, grass fed Beef for sale.

Organic Manure for Sale $5 per bag......HUH, isn't all animal manure organic?

Yea it may be but the city folk don't know that and you can get a dollar more from them for that organic stuff to put in their organic flowers and organic patio veggies

I think the "organic" thing is like the "lite" thing. It's a way to charge more for the same thing.....No hate pm's please - I know that "organic" products are SUPPOSED to be certified and produced a certain way, but I can't see the FDA or the USDA with the manpower to "certify" every single product that claims to be "organic". And I hardly believe that every product that claims to be organic is....just my opinion.
 
Not really. For those of us who like to garden organically or naturally, we don't want those things in our soils. The chemical de-wormers can kill our earthworms and the antibiotics and other chemicals can kill beneficial nematodes. It also makes it unable to claim organic status if you have used chemicals of any kind in your soils for a number of years.

Not really a scam....just folks who care about what goes in their mouths.

I've also thought it was basicly a scam, or marketing ploy to prey on the gullible.
