This stand up brooder - how many chicks?

Just wondering how many chicks could this brooder handle for HAPPY chicks? it says 50 but good lord, that's crowded.

Also, HOW LONG would they stay in this?

Just trying to find solutions for my back, having them on the floor in mypetchicken's brooder pen (sitting on double cardboard in the garage) is killing me.

I am assuming the 24" high includes the legs.

I put a home made out of plywood brooder on top of a banquet table that is a lot larger than this metal brooder. And cost should be close to the same.

I can't bend over to pick up chicks either or feed and water.

Not one big enough for the pen - its huge!

A 28" x 72" gives a lot more space and then 36-40 chicks is enough in it.
