Well, I'm back! Turned out getting some GREAT NEWS today!!!! I've gotta go back in on 2-2-11 for one more round of tests and most likely another heart cath for a blockage on the left side of my heart, (Only an 8 hour procedure!) but the main problems with my heart are being caused by the heart muscle it's self and they really think I'll be able to treat everything other than the blockage with new meds. (IE = NO MORE SURGURY!!) I got very lucky and my new heart specialist / doctor is great! He acually sat down with me and the Mrs. and answered all our questions (In English instead of using long medival medical terms), It's been a LONG day... but YIPEE!!!!!
I feel like I got whooped by the whole "Wild Bunch", flogged by a one eyed Imp, and beat about the head and shoulders with a rubber hose by all those well meaning but seriously demented interns, but at least I'm going to get something done. I'm still groggy and sick due to the nuclear die.. (I'm waitin' for dark to see if I glow, that'd be sorta cool!). I've gotta go see my family doctor tommorow about a new round of bloodwork and to get the cholesteral and triglycerites under control, and they still want to do another stress test and a coronary computed tomography aniography. I got on some kind of clinical trial from Duke University that is paying from most of the testing. (Insert mental image of a very happy old man doin' the happy dance here!) If I have to do the other heart cath, it's not covered, and it's $15,000 to $16,000 but they are going to work on getting us some help on it (Thanks Caroline! Your ideas helped on that!) Anyway, I'm still in the land of the living (Or the land of the lost, sorta groggy still) and I can see a bit of hope!
Now as for the scars my buddy sourland, annaraven, and noodleroo wanted to see, go take a listen to this... (if this works, never tried one of these links before.) It's a song wrote and performed by Ray Kennedy a Nashville outlaw director that has worked with lots of other artist I know and have worked with. I used to perform it myself sometimes back in the day.
For all of you who have posted, kept me in your prayers, sent out good vibes, done the good feelin' voodoo dance or whatever.... I CAN'T THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH!!! My BYC family is VERY special to me and from myself, my wife and all my family... God bless you! May your chickens all lay Cadbury eggs and hatch out $20.00 gold eagles.
