Classic. I suppose I haven't changed much. Interacting over the internet is easy in that way. I don't sound like the doofus that I usually am in real life
hello all
my names Dennis i used to have chickens horses goats and even a couple pigs. been a few years sense i have anything but a dog and a couple of cats. i am thinking of getting some more chickens again, why is a story for later, i live by Hemet on a couple of acres so i have plenty of room. i used to buy chicks from hi-line over in Nuevo but they are gone now. i'm not sure if i want to start chicks at this time of year, think it's going to be a wet and cold winter. so i think I'll see if i can find some people around me that want to get chickens and order a bunch from a hatchery in the spring
thanks for listening
But here is my first post. I never did get any reliable double yolk layers. I must say that I love the flock I have right now.
What breed of chickens lay double yolked eggs, or do they all have the potential? I am thinking about getting about 6 to 8 hens again.
I know that I prefer large to jumbo eggs for baking. I also want extremely rare breed chickens. It's my little mental illness showing again. We have a Komondor so I have a bit of a history of preferring the less the usual in pets. I also want to protect a breed that needs the help.
I am from Australia and have raised ducks and geese for many years.
Currently I have 29 Ducks, mostly Indian Runners of assorted ages. The youngest being just two days old.
Looking foward to hearing about things from a more international perspective.
And mine from about 22 months ago.
Still in Australia
I think I have more than 29 ducks now .. I stopped counting a while ago since the numbers keep going up and down
Youngest of current ducks is about 10 days old.
