Those abominable bragging Christmas letters !

Buff ! You outdid yourself on that bragging letter.

I've had a couple of those, yuck.

May I copy your letter to use for my siblings on the holidays? Seriously, we all enjoy a good joke as the holiday season approaches, I just know they will LOVE IT!

It's all about CHEER and MERRY right ?

Buff - thank you so much for starting this thread. I'm sitting here with a tissue wiping the massacre that's running down my face - literally laughing till I cry.

Please, everyone, keep up the "truthful" letters - they are hilarious.

And Buff, you really should submit your original letter to some of the homestead magazines (Hobby Farms, Mother Earth News, Grit, etc.) I bet they would publish it in one of their Christmas issues.

That's a great idea Ruth! You should Buff! And the other magazine that's "hot" out there is MaryJane's Farm, you should submit to them!

Gee, Buff, you sure have taken a heap of pressure off me - now that you've written up our Christmas Snoozeletter! I guess that means we ought to send you the first couple fruitcakes that come our way as a thank you...

Wouldn't it be great if there were a way to each contribute snoozeletter news to this thread, sort of swap news items (especially the made-up or ridiculous ones) so we could put together holiday letters that would really see if anyone was paying attention!

I have many friends and acquaintances whom I don't talk to that often...life is busy, and people move across the country or internationally (I used to work at a college; staff and students leave every four years or so) So I appreciate well-thought-out letters, even if they are xeroxed. Now I don't receive a lot, but the ones I do, they're well done and there has always been a little extra personalized note attached. I appreciate them.

Just my two-cents.

I am so glad that you enjoy brag letters, but this topic is about people that don't and I am one of them.
I do not enjoy impersonal, mass produced, zeroxed brag letters I think they are pathetic.
Who in this thread is discussing what you mention in your 2 cents.
If you read this thread in its entirety others mention that they do not like zerox form letters that want to brag about their lives.
Not sure why you are taking any comments out of context here but if you read this thread its about
A. People who do NOT enjoy getting these letters
B. These Brag letters are Zeroxed and Mass produced
Keep reading......

or the verb zerox or xeroxed

. Oh boy, I better HIDE that from my father! Whenever I say that word in a verb or noun, he would really correct me on that one! I saw nothing wrong with it and think nothing of it! Believe it or not, he worked for Xerox Corporation for over 33 years and he always correct me that Xeroxed is NOT a verb or a noun by any means, just SAY copied or copies. Well, I stand corrected and do it behind his back!

Anyways, I stand xeroxed!
