Those Curlycue Light Bulbs!

Our power company sent every household a couple of those to try out. There was a huge flap because there was a crazy warning on the box about the care you have to take to dispose of them. I'm personally not fond of how they take a few seconds to warm up enough to be as bright as they're supposed to be.

I use the flouresent floodlights. They take a while to heat up but do
use less energy therefore lower my electric bill. Costco sells them
cheap.

They should not be put on motion sensors. That type of bulb is rated
more on cycles(on/off) then lifespan in hours. I use mine with motion
sensors anyways.

They put out no heat.

I've got boxes of regular old fashioned incandesent lights in the attic
for when Big Brother Light Bulb finally outlaws them. Flouresent bulbs
reduce global warming about as much as holding in a fart.
