I was sitting on the back porch yesterday when my daughter brought me my Buck, BO roo. He sat in my hand and half on my leg as I scratched his back and fell asleep. He rolled onto his side and his head lolled to one side, totally out!! It made me feel so good like nothing could go wrong as long as I have my Buck!!! BTW he is now about 8 or 9 weeks old, so that's how he still fits inot my hand. LOL
Absolutely. The make me laugh. When I want to run away they help me hide from what ever it is.

Those without chickens would never believe it... but you are so right. I can hide from anything just by sitting with my fluffy little ladies. Listening to their adventures of the day.
My special moment today, was seeing my broody hen loving on her 3 new chicks. She went broody a few weeks after I lost my only roo in April. The last of the fertile eggs hatched yesterday in my bator. I gave her 3 chicks from my incubator and she's being a great mommy.
Honestly any moment with them is great. There are always laughs, oooohhh and aaaahhhs, conversations, back rubs and wattle rubs going on.
My favorite moment happens a lot. When I step outside a say "Thor...Thor come here" and then I watch this 11+ lb cockerel come running at me. Such a good boy.
