Those who need help in sexing peafowl

I will check with Thor and Calypso I might just use something I already know the weight of  and compare it to their weight or use a scale. I could convert it on my cell phone. My phone can convert lbs. into grams and kg.


I would hope that you could do that without a cell phone or calculator, lol. Too funny, roommate and I were talking about this earlier... What math does one have to know to graduate from high school these days?

Females don't do it as often, that's why you don't see it.

oddly enough my pied girls display more than my male. but the cameo and ib hen hardly ever display.
my theory? the girls enjoy showin off their pretty colors.
so far my male only displays to the ducks

I learned that peacock doesn't get an ocelli until they are 2 years old. If that is a 6 month old peacock then he's really growing up fast. I was researching peafowl before I got Colbolt and Jadea and I read that a peahen can breed and lay an egg a fertile egg when they are one year old but breed to a 3 years or older. Is that true?

Many of mine got them early, so what you read about them not getting them until they are two is wrong. Some people here have had chicks from very young pairs, so that's not true either.
