Those who need help in sexing peafowl

I'm not saying that Thor will have a train or be laying eggs at 9 months. I want too see primary feathers though. I don't know the difference between peaches and cameos. I don't really like cameo's and peaches that's why I haven't really paid much attention into them though sexing them since it's a color mutation I'm sure should be similar right. I don't do wing bands I don't know where I can get them nor do I know how they work, but I do have leg bands or I can use zip ties. My chicks for this thread where we choose the variety and sex,my chicks shouldn't be hard to figure out the variety unless I buy more chicks of a different variety. Though to be honest I prefer just to keep with my IBs, and IB Pieds but I want to add white to that selection. Maybe BS but I like the varieties I got for now. I'm not expecting eggs or a train in 3 to 4 months.

I also have a few that will be two in June and July, but they are still with their brother, so I doubt I any will be fertile if they do lay them.

Lol, they don't know that. Gonna be a party in that pen just the same. If you are worried about genetics and quite frankly for one generation I would not be, put the girls in with daddy.

I'm not too worried about the "incest", lol, and he's an August baby with very little train. If they lay, fine, heck I might though a few under a hen or incubator just for grins.

My three older hens did just fine for me last year, so I don't really care if I see any eggs from the 2 year old pen.

What I really need to do is figure out a way to get a bunch of the 2013 babies sold so I can get myself a trio of Bronze!

Brother and sister won't cause harm to the offspring it's like very rare for that to happen, thinking about it in depth sounds really messed up but you got to realize that most of the colors that aren't original colors came more common because of inbreeding. You just don't want to use the same male through the entire blood line that will cause problems eventually. But of course having different blood lines is best.

One aspect of breeding the 2 year olds does interest me and that's that almost all have white flights and itty bitty throat patches, so it would be interesting to see if I got any whites from them. My mature hens also have white, but the mature males are solid. Just think out loud, lol.

You misunderstood me,,I will upload the peachicks pictures,they will be wingbanded before the pictures are taken so there will be no doubt if your guess was correct or if birds were switched. Sexing peachicks at one day of age interests me so I want to see how accurate you are.We all have our own ways to sex but unless it's a sex linked color you have got my interest perked on all the other colors at 24 hours old.
