That's up to you, lol, I get a kick out of it. I mean this in the nicest way possible, but what will you tell all of us when you finally see that Thor is a hen? And at what age do you think that will be?I feel your pain Kathy. I didn't want the argument to go on anymore. Perhaps I should just pull down this thread or whatever one of you guys mentioned to make it stop.
Oh, so apology accepted! That is pathetic that you feel like you will have to wait until she is two to three years old. You can't expect her to lay eggs and grow a train... You already have peafowl, so you must be quite ignorant about peafowl sexing if it takes you that long to sex a bird. When someone ask for a few month old peachick will you say, sorry I have to wait to see if it lays an egg or grows a train to know what sex it is. Well I wont be telling you anything when "Thor is a male" because no one here other than you is planning on it happening. Honestly, take the advice of more knowledgeable peafowl breeders. I am probably close to same age as you, but I am not as stubborn as you.If I'm wrong then I will admit that I was wrong and I spent an entire month trying to prove you guys that I was right when I was really wrong and obviously there is much I still have to learn about peafowl and I'm sorry that I argued with people more experience than I and I should shut up and take their advice more often until I know what I'm saying. That's what I will say. I think Thor will stop with his color changing and show what Thor is that no one can argue with hopefully anywhere from 7-9 months. When Thor is 2-3 years old then nobody can argue with what Thor is and if they want to including me then I or that person isn't to smart. I mean this in the nicest way too. What will all of you guys that were part of the Thor is a hen party do if Thor turns out to be a male?
I sold some chicks thru Craigslist this past summer. A gentleman from a neighboring county bought 8 of them, I did not hatch any IB, and this guy wanted IB, he was buying them to resell. He has a website and advertises himself as a breeder and dealer of rare and exotic poultry. Long story short, the closest I had to IB were some IB spaldings 50/50 genes, I explained that they were not pure IB but would look mainly like IB due to the low % of green. Of course I kept an eye on his site and he advertised them and sold them as pure IB. Does anyone really think the same could not happen to or from Murray McMurray?![]()
