When I had to pluck feathers for DNA sexing I found that a quick tug worked very well. Did you see the bronze peachick pictures?

So far Peep is doing great. He loves to display for me showing me his nice adult train. He sometimes displays for a peahen, but when I walk up he will start displaying for me. He still treats me like a mate though and chases after me so that hasn't changed. He hasn't shown any signs of aggression so fingers crossed that he will never be a bad boy.Late hatch boy... So is he growing a train yet? I would love to see pictures... I am also waiting to see how Peep turns out, so I am hoping they will be okay, since I want to imprint a peachick, or attempt to again, and that will be a good excuse to keep a traditional blue, which I do not have anymore.
If you really can't pluck one, cut it.

That is what I was thinking. I would just get some scissors.
Sweet! I'll go look there! ThanksThere were some Peep pictures in the show off your peas section. I am glad he displays for hens too.
I will keep you guys updated with the bronze in show off your peas.
My 2 cents worth is that Thor is a spalding female split to silver pied. Some Spalding hens will develop a breast color just like hers and the darker green neck will be from the spalding cross. The white tipped or different colors on the back can be from a silver pied gene a generation or 2 back. connerhills
