I know why the peahen fans Trust me I've seen it. Yes it was the same breeder and my neighbor. The female won't incubate the eggs in February though. You guys are dancing around why the male at a young age fans and the female fans. I know what it sounds like I've heard it at zoos. Mine just haven't done it.

There is one thing in common with the male fanning at young age that you guys listed but haven't said it yet.

How can we list it, but not have said it?

Seeing a peahen fan and knowing why she does it are different things. You have been asking us questions and we have been answering them so give us a good answer to why peahens fan.

Then it's not breeding season!

You didn't say why they were fanning. Threat display. Like two roosters fanning their hackle feathers. When I put Thor and Calypso on the other side of the chicken coop. Jadea fanned for the second time in her life. The other time was when a rooster fanned his hackle feathers at her and she fanned and then attacked. The questions I asked are ones that I know the answer but I want to know what you guys think it is or believe. Just as AugeredIn quizzed us.

Really enlighten me on the fanning buisness and then tell me why your pretty girl is a boy again
this is patch he was fanning at 2 days old.

Theses are some of my girls and a boy

I said to look bigger or dominant, which is why I think both males and females do it. The males also do it as part of a their breeding ritual.
