Not talking about the barred bar feathers that hens have I'm talking the shoulder. I've yet to see a hen with barring in those areas.

That first one is a really good picture. It clearly shows that she is a hen. Disregard the 3 tiny so-called barred feathers and just look that the pattern of her feathers. Notice how the green color just comes to a dead stop where the neck meets the shoulders. I'm attaching 2 pics, they are different colored birds, but you can clearly see how the hen's

colored feathers come to that dead stop and then everything is plain brown, while the males greenish colored feathers continue down across his back between his shoulder blades, eventually turning into train feathers. As I said different colored birds, but both are around the same age as Thora.

Try different species for the male. That male is a Spalding of course it will have more green. Look at Colbolt his green base neck barely makes it to his shoulder blade while Jadea's green neck doesn't make it there either.

But the India Blue males will have the colored feathers all the way down their backs as well. As they mature they turn into those greenish gold scallop looking feathers, on the young males they look like this, and these are from an IB not a spalding, how many of these does Thora have?

None and neither did Colbolt til he got this train. When he was 2 years and 9 months there was just a green slit compared to those. Are you saying they will have the green run down their back just as that Spalding. Or are you saying barring run down the back. I know they will get the green feather like this when they are old enough.
