I know the pattern of her breast compared to Jadea. I wonder what Calypso and Thor will turn out to be later in life, I mean coloring and their offspring.

It depends on what male you breed them to. Please tell me you don't think Thora is male?

Maybe I am wrong here, but it sounds a little like you may finally be entertaining the possibility that there is a bit of green blood in at least 1 of them? Otherwise you wouldn't be wondering, you would know because IB pied is a familiar bird to you. Personally I am having great fun with my spaldings because I don't know precisely what they will look like. I've raised so many IB BS birds that I didn't hatch a single one of those last year, I'm bored with them because they all end up looking the same. I am having a lot more fun with Pieds and spaldings because they are such a surprise. Eventually I want to breed some Loud Pied spaldings and some silver pied spaldings. Talk about never knowing what is going to pop out of that egg!

I agree about the pieds. That is why I really love pieds, each of them has different white patterns. I still can't get over losing my pied peacock! I was going crazy wanting a pied pair, yet I never got to get a pied chick from them before the peacock was killed. This year if all goes well my pied peahen will hopefully give me a pied when I mate her to my white peacock.
Hopefully someday I will have a nice pied peacock like one of these boys:

This second photo is one of Connerhill's boys that came up when I searched "pied peacock" - This is a silver pied though.:

Connerhills do you have any new photos of this peacock? He is so beautiful how old is he?

I have sold that male to a young lady in Fla. some time back. He was not a silver pied but from one silver pied and Spalding and is with silver pied hens and produced some very nice pied males that sold well. Look at his conformation, he has a nice wide stance, nice size on the head and beak . He was really a nice bird. I bought him as a young bird ( 4-5 months ) when the UPA had a convention at Hildebran, NC. and I drove to Byrdstown, Tn. to pick him up . He must be 10 yrs or so now. thanks connerhills

Okay I wasn't sure because he was on your Silver pied page. Why did you sell him? It sounds like you really liked him, and I agree his stance is very nice.
I am a lady in Florida too bad he didn't go to me.

That is okay I want to get my own pieds from my own breedings. No need to buy more birds except for greens...I am obsessed with greens and I need to talk to Josh again to see if he will let me get a very young green since I don't care what sex I get. I just want to see if green peafowl are for me.

Well , I have to sell some to pay for feed for all of the others and she really wanted him to go with her silver pied hens. I have 2 or 3 more coming on that will be that good. connerhills

Here is Connerhills website with his contact info:
http://connerhills.com/

It says he is in Missouri.

Ahh I see but still if that bird were mine, I would be selling one of the others instead, although I see what you mean if she really wanted him. Bird Man only had two pied peacocks and I really wanted one of them so he sold me one (this was a few years ago). Now I feel bad since that poor pied didn't last long before my first raccoon problem arose and he was the first victim.
