Thoughts on Dry Hatch & Oh Yea They're Hatching!! Pics added

Thanks 4crazygirlz I like that one too! Can't get anything done around here I spend too much time watchin the chickies!!

Rosaline do you have a hygrometer in your incubator to monitor your humidity? Depending on how humid you are there you might have to tweak things to your climate.

The pictures are wonderful Jane. I am so happy for you.
Now it is my turn to pace and get no sleep. At least it will be on Monday because that is when my Light Sussex go on lockdown. Last check there were still 12 developing. Hatch day is the 24th but they will most likely start pipping late on the 22nd and finish the hatch on the 23rd.
Such a sweet miracle in just 21 days. It boggles me that the little chick forms that quickly!
So tell your babies that they need to cheer their brothers and sisters on really loud so they can hear them over here.

You're awake! I've been wondering and so anxious to hear. I cant believe you still have 12 developing! That is just fantastic!! You are obviously doing something very right!!It really is truly amazing isn't it!?! I'll be watching for your thread!

Yes, I couldn't sleep, but I have been watching the thread. I think I posted a few times too. I am really happy for you and the chicks are so sweet. Just wait until they start getting their color. They are going to be beautiful. Great job!

JanieMarie- Yes I have a hygrometer. At the moment the humidity is at 28. Not sure if to have it at 20? or go up to 30-35. Everyone does different things. I guess its what you feel happier with.

I am now on day 2. A little worried about the heat. It makes a big difference to where you put the thermoniter. I put it laying on the bottom of the box and it went off the scale. Im worried the eggs are damadge from this. I have put them in a carton to protect them from over heating. Anyone else had this problem before, and if so what happened? where the eggs ok?

Thankyou for your time Rosaline x

I have two days to lockdown and my air cells from page 4, dont seem to be advancing anywhere even though the humidity hasn't been above 35 in the last 5 days...it's been as low as 25. IDK what else to do and I'm concerned since I'm two days from LD and then need to INCREASE my humidity. Even prior to the last 5 days it didn't really get above and sustain anything above 46. They are all still moving and developing but I'm just concerned how they're going to "suddenly grow" in two days when what I'm doing doesn't seem to be working?!
