Thoughts on vertical nesting boxes rather than horizontal (see photo)

I saw some coop plans that had two stacked nesting boxes vs the usual side-by-side arrangement. Thoughts or issues with this?

I have two on bottom two on top. I'm worried about them roosting in top boxes so I covered their access until they're used to sleeping on the roost.

Yeah, if the nest box is higher than the perch they will sleep in the nest box
