Thread for Christian chicken lovers

Christian here -- Roman Catholic, specifically. It makes me very happy to see so many other Christians on here.
I have 17 chickens and 4 guineas. One of the guineas hatched out under an ISA, and I ended up fussing over him. He imprinted on me very firmly, and has been a wonderful, loud little blessing.
I intend to go into nursing in college, and am aiming for either child delivery or diabetes education. I want to avoid anything that could make me have anything to do with fetal tissue and abortion.

Jeremiah 1:5 -- "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

Here's the friendly boy, Spook, my first "child":

You're planning on going to college??
I literally allways thought you were like some late 90 year old woman. I'm terribly sorry. Good luck anyways.

Hi guys! I'm newer to BYC (I lurked for awhile) I'm a Christian as well, although I don't have a specific denomination- I just read the KJV and try to follow the Lord's word. I think this thread is great😊

I live on a few acres in rural Minnesota with my husband and our 4 kids. We currently have lavender orpingtons, silver laced wyandottes, brahmas and silkies (I just bought an incubator and I'm trying to hatch out more!) We also have a great pyrenees, a chocolate lab and a cat. It's finally warming up here after weeks of negative temps- it was in the 40s today and beautiful!

Beautiful day here, too! I had to reset the varmint trap by the coop today. I found these in front of the coop and run today:

Those tracks were not there at lockup last night.
What kind of critter made those tracks, do you know? (A hungry critter, no doubt!) Fox, maybe?

Have any of you all been to The Ark Encounter? I have fortunately been to the museum part and I've been to the actual Ark that they built. I have many pictures from both places. It is absolutely incredible to see what they have compiled in these museums!

Uh ... not yet! We planned to go during the Summer That Wasn't ... 2020! 🤣 It's still on our Bucket List, though!

Evening, fellow Christians. Happy to be here and sharing our love for the Lord, and for one another. @room onthebroom is right, we need not disparage those who believe differently than ourselves, for did not our loving Saviour come to seek and to save the lost, which, after all, we were at one time? Did He not commend His love for us by dying for us while we were yet sinners? Of what then have we to boast? I concur with room that disparaging remarks about "pagans," as if they are in some way unworthy or "less than," should be deleted.

I also ask that comments about "liberals" and "fear-mongerers" be likewise purged. I had Covid. I was sick the entire month of January and was in the ER twice. I got it because someone close to me, who should have known better, was careless about masking and social distancing with people not in our family. I'm still not well. I'm 67 years old. Masks are not to protect the wearer; they're to protect the vulnerable. Be a good neighbor and wear one. No. Be a good CHRISTIAN. Wear your cootie-catcher! šŸ˜‰
