My ancona egg is light and has been the easiest to see through from the beginning. But the cayuga eggs range from light tan to dark brown and the darkest ones seem to be the most advanced. I expect it will be obvious though when candling, as the shadows of the duckling pressing against membrane into aircell is obvious now.

Can't wait to re-check at 6pm tonight!!

Where's SM?
Not much going on here, the kids were terror's this morning. They are napping now, I have to wake them up in about an hour so they can go to nonni's for a little bit and I can repair the damage they caused this morning. Little brats got into big sis's room and TRASHED it completely, everything is everywhere. She worked really hard cleaning it up, and her birthday's tomorrow so I want to get it cleaned back up before she gets home, and talk her daddy into installing a lock on the door so little one's can't get in.

Finally someone laid an egg. Could be from one of my chickens or maybe on of the ducks

It is bigger than the white grade aa large store bought egg.




Even if it is from one of the chickens I am happy because nobody has laid an egg since October.

Woo Hoo! I'm going to get that cochin auction at some point. She has a 6 Golden/6 Silver laced auction she does. So then I can get both colors. I think I like the laced thing for some reason.

I'm watching those chocolate orps. It won't be happening this week, I'm being careful what I choose right now, cuz I really want those Saxony ducks.
