Have you gotten any more eggs? Someone was selling blues on ebay, and I thought of you.

I have eggs coming probably Monday or Tuesday from Celtic. Plus the guy that bought my ducks brought up a bunch of eggs for me to hatch.

Baby chicks look dead to me when they're sleeping. I always have to reach in and wake them to make sure they're okay.


One is using the other for a pillow.

It's dark, so I should be headed out to sneak them underneath "mommy." The second one to hatch is so runty, I think I'm going to have to keep it so it's not a death sentence. That means I have to keep a friend for it. And I really didn't want chickens!

How do you find customers? Our Craigs list is like an hours to nearest city. I don't mind hatching, and I could certainly do more ducks with extra eggs Ap - Oct....

I found this guy on CL. He was looking for ducks. I found another lady that wants almost all of my chickens and Pekins when I was standing in line at Shoppers (which is like a TSC, my granddaughter works at it and I get a discount). But this lady asked me if it was too cold for chickens outside and it just started from there. Another girl at my doctors office wants chickens too.

I need a little help with the second sebbie. It looks different in the egg. Not like a duck.


ETA: And basically the yolk it's like crystalized to it's face and is stuck to the membrane. I don't know, but it looks like that was causing a problem for it. It's bubbly like merange.

OK, I pulled back a little of the shell exposing it's face. There was nasty crap all over it's face and it was stuck to the membrane which was stuck to the shell. Gross actually.

Anyway, this one hasn't made a sound. Is that odd? And it appears to be breathing funny. I'm a little worried for it to be quite honest.
But then again, maybe this is normal for geese. I'm used to those peeping ducks.

Theres veining at the bottem of the egg, but thats it. Going to metzers now....
