Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

At point can you start to see the little embryos move around in the shell? When I candled one of my duck eggs it seemed to be moving, but I wasn't sure if it actually was moving itself or if was just the motion from me picking up the egg.

I saw it for the first time at 14 days, but I only candle once a week, so they probably move sooner. First time I saw one move, I wasn't expecting it and it almost startled me!

I am tired. Time for me to go to bed. Oh yeah, my frigging cat unplugged my incubator in the bathroom this morning. Luckily hubby saw it and the temp had only dropped down to 98. I wanted to kill that darn cat. He pulled the plug out of the surge protector because he was mad that he was locked in the bedroom and I wouldn't let him sleep with me. Stupid cat is going to electrify himself if he keeps this up

QJ:

I'm blowing out infertile eggs, and I'm waxing the outside to make them harder. but i need to smooth them out. and i need sand paper to do that lol.

Yikes! National Lampoon's flashbacks came to mind there.

Nope thats the one duck that I think is ugly. Sorry. I just don't like them. But so glad that you do and that you get to experience the hatching of them,

My husband agrees with you! I love their personalities, but I love them smoked or slow-roasted even better. (did I just say that?
