Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Cass....cute babies, enjoy

DG.... Let him rest, bobby will hatch they just take forever

QJ... She has a very lovely pair I am hoping to get a splash gander to hatch from those eggs for a goose we have already. Actually I need to pick the eggs up from the PO.
Does she pack like you do?

Good morning, hatching friends. I tried to skim over the 30 pages that you wrote yesterday... that was a task.

DG, how's Bobby this morning?

quackers and carra: cute baby duckling pictures!!

SM, I saw you found out that Erin sold us the toulouse eggs, but I want to also recommend the other toulouse seller I got my first set from. I have 3 (maybe 4) growing out of the 5 eggs I set 9 days ago. I bought them through her website: http://www.goldendovegallery.org/hatching eggs.html. I notice she is a regular seller on ebay too.

Marty, I use an LG still air and have been pleased with it. Not sure I'd put an auto turner in it, though.

Well, I am not a fan of the wood pellets for inside brooders. They are MESSY! The pellets/sawdust gets dragged into their food and water bowls and all over their toys. Hubby said it was a PITA to change last night too. Yuck! I plan to look for puzzle mats today. Otherwise, I will go back to using towels, but will top it with a flat sheet.

I'm trying a new method of putting their water directly on a puppy pad. I'll let you know how that goes.

Oh, and did you see I have 3 gooses coming to me? I'll post it in the goose thread. Because... I am hatching geese again. Good grief, I'm outta control.

Oh and I'm hosting a bachelor party here this afternoon and this evening. So basically I'm just going to lay down.. and let people walk all over me. why not. Just walk on me. No big whoop. It's cool.

Iain, water and food here goes on paver stones to keep them elevated. Lowes, Walmart and home depot carry the puzzle foam pads. lowes has black, otherwise you can find them with ABC's and stuff they are used for kids play rooms.

QJ, sheesh woman. You are outta control! LOL Come on over to the goose thread and post your stats on eggs when you get them. Pete keeps up with the thread and is very helpful to all of us over there.

We have a dish towel under water, but it doesn't help. I really want to get them set up outside so my pair can adopt them. They still come over EVERY morning to coo at them and try to find a way to get to them.

I know. I need help. But that's it I SWEAR! I'm going to have to sell some Saxonys. And I might sell 2 Appleyards. I just want a pair them. It will be end of next week when she sends them. She has to collect them first.

So far the puppy pad is doing a good job, but I'll have to change it tonight. So that's one a day basically.

Celtic, thanks for the info! Home Depot is my favorite place so I'll get the puzzle mats there.. and as you know, hubby will also want to raid the cull box when we go there this afternoon. Gotta get secure runs set up in my yard so these guys can go outside on the warm days we are starting to have here.

I like their toys on the ground. They drag them around and play tug of war. One of the goslings even plays fetch with his stuffed animal. It is so cute. We also keep a 9x9 baking dish (with rubber mats on bottom) for "wading", in addition to their poultry waterer.

QJ, no idea waiting to get them currently.

Iain will your adults let you handle them? Could you carry the goose inside to see the goslings? Or is it warm enough to take the goslings (1) to them to see?
