Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Hi DG, Happy Easter!

Hi Eyeheartquail, my corturnix are starting to crow, and I'm gonna make ann egg box, they are 6 weeks old now. I also got 14 more button quail eggs in yesterdday.

Hi Jaz, hows the easter hatch?

Hi Iain, it also says your viewing the goose thread, either you move fast or there is a way to monitor both I don't know about cause im no computer guru.

Hi Marty! Happy easter everyone!

I'm so bumded I have to sell 2 of my favorite duckies (they are all my faves lol) they just don't fit in the breeding program :/ .... oh well......

How are you Marty?

Got back from finding easter baskets and enough eggs filled with Candy to keep my kids from eating until bed, and there is a pipped and unzipping little pheasant working in the hatcher.

What a surprise. I assumed that like quail they all popped out almost togather. Glad I didn't toss them. I suppose that means the new LG, even w/a afan, has some cool spots. I did move the eggs around a bit, but the pheasents ended up under short overhead areas where absolutely no ducks can go, cause they hit stuff. (like under the heater, the fan, the thermostat.) I suppose yesterdays was under heat element, and todays in a cooler area.

Nothing from my little turkeys yet, but when I peeked this morning, some of them are working away and active.

Hey Marty, congrats on another baby surprise!

Was just checking on bators in bathroom. I wish cayuga egg #5 would get into gear with the others, so I can move it to hatcher. Sheesh, my erin toulouse egg has more rocking and a better dip now (also at day 25) than this duck egg.

Were you using an LG? I'm just noticing and wondering about uneveness of temps w/in them. My hova is producing offspring simultaniously, more or less. Seems like LG is not so even.

I've only ever used LGs. But I do rotate eggs and most hatches are done within 8 hours of each other, and my 3 toulouse hatched within 1 hour of each other. This cayuga is "off" so to speak.
