Hey all! Don't have a lot of time to catch up right now.
We're having a disaster hatch right now. I think most of my runner babies died in the shells sometime during the night.

I'm going to be lucky to get 6 out of 19 eggs. No action on the bei's due on wed, but the goose babies are still going.
Cross your fingers for us!

I just get the cheap ones. They end up on everything. Last week when Julia chick pooped on her, she bandaided his butt.

I think it took me 3 hours to catch up today! Goodness. I had to take a break to pick up my two darling turkey babies from Julie! Thanks Julie, and your girls are adorable! I miss having my kids at home. Then again, it leaves more time for baby turkeys and ducks.

The kids are a big handful, but it will be quiet when they are gone. Thanks, I'm glad you like the poults. The kids love them, they are such sweet little things and follow them all around.

I don't know why I don't have any shrink wrap issues?? I mean I am not complaining at all. Could it be the bator or maybe opening it to many times.

I literally only candle 2 times in the whole 21-28 days. & the second time is just to put them in LD. Then I leave them alone until they pip.

You guys are killing me with your shrink wrap stories as I sit here on day 26 with my hands off my bator. Hope everyone's babies hatch out ok!!

I bought some Lavender ones & I got 8 chicks out of 13 eggs from a lady here on BYC

can someone point me in the right direction for a good guinea egg seller? my dog ate the eggs out of my broodys clutch

but she is still determined to sit and i would like to have her hatch some

I hatch Guineas, & they are easy like Chickens IMO

I want to buy some eggs from here next

I have had that happen twice, by total fluke too. It happens soooooo fast! I have lost one ducky & one Gosling that way. Sorry Hun!

Quackers your only on day 28 & they can hatch from 28-32 days. So even if the baby is at the bottom they usually will right themselves when they absorb all the yolk on their own. When they absorb all the yolk they have more room to "manuver", & that is when Mother Nature is telling them .... NO MORE FOOD now get outta that shell !!!
I don't worry really unitl they get to day 30. A lot can happen in 24 hours in the final days of development.

I have my next hatch coming today !!! Just came home to peeping in my bator another Wild Goosey! & I have 3 more to pip. They all look looked goos when I set them! I really reallly want these babies to hatch !!!!!

Just thought I'd pop in to share my h*llish nightmare with you... I have shrinkwrapping on the outer membrane, tons of fluid and gunk inside the inner membrane and all sorts of wrong positioned babies.
