Thank you so much everybody. He was such a beautiful cat. Last night he came in and slept with us which he never does. Then this morning he came in and talked to me for awhile and I knew it was time. We were with him when he went. My hubby got a hole dug and we buried him outside the living room window and in the spring I will plant flowers there. Here he is sitting on his pillow. He always laid on that pillow like he was the king.

What a handsome boy, SM. I'm glad he had a peaceful end. I'm sure he was extremely well loved and cared for all his life.

I have 2 eggs that are through the membrane and are resting with their little beaks on the egg now. I wonder how long before they break through. I don't want it to be like last time where they get to the shell and then die. I will keep a close eye on them this time and step in if they aren't getting anywhere.

Normally it'd be between 24 and 48 hours before they try breaking through the shell.

Hey guys, I have a little update for you. Beaker and Bunsen are playing outside right now with the big girls. It's so cute. The big girls are being a little bossy and nippy at them when they try to eat from THEIR feed and water. I figure that's normal. I also noticed a new small hawk in the area and then a HUGE hawk in the tree behind us.. So basically we are surrounded by hawks right now. I'm watching them closely. Pics are coming shortly.

Ok, I brought them both in. Somehow they managed to ditch Beaker and he was peeping at the kitchen door for me. I love that little duck. Bunsen is more wild but Beaker is awesome.

The hawks were making me nervous... This one is HUGE. Probably the biggest one I've ever seen.
Also- Beaker is a girl!! She quacked at me when I was picking her up! Quack Quack, peep. I'm so excited about her being a girl because when I introduce a new drake, I have nothing to worry about. Now I just hope Bunsen is a girl too!!

Here are all the girls hanging out. (Until the big girls decided that was THEIR food and water.) Selfish girls.
