Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

It was very difficult to get her to stand still. LOL

That is such a great idea! This will be a card her dad keeps forever.

You've officially qualified for the crazy BYC dog club

What? There's a club for crazy dog people? I'm pretty sure I should be a member!

Morning Dutch, sadly no, hubby is still very bad off. Walking is a chore, and we have a battle ahead of us. He is far too young for this crap to be happening.
No, he is way too young for such a thing to be happening to him.

Celtic if my birds are half as beautiful as yours, I will be well satisfied.

Ya'll keep me laughing on here, the more you insult each other the happier you all seem to be. It makes me feel right at home.

Beatrice had an awesome night, I let her graze for about 20 minutes when I got home yesterday on some very fine grass, then she ran everyone else out the pool and had it to herself for about 30 minutes. She got out of the pool and began preening in the late afternoon sunlight. She did a few wing flaps. I cleaned her living accomodations and put her up. She took a dim view of that. I fed her some well watered down feed and refreshed her water bowl. Then I took care of the rest of the critters. When I checked on her before bed, she had normal, fresh green grass poop in several places in her enclosure. Hallelujah! She had eaten some of her food. She was "talking" to me non stop. I also discovered in one poop spot a brown, rubbery, piece of either paper or bedding. I couldn't tell which. I even retreived it and washed it off. Don't laugh! Its not that funny! I couldn't tell for sure what it was but it looked kinda like a big corn flake. I decided not to do any taste test! I went to bed and slept like a baby for the first time since this started. This morning she had finished her food up and was begging to get out. Appropriate poop was much in evidence!!! I of course, had to come to work. I am so happy that she made it. This afternoon, I am going to let her stay out longer and put her up one more night and tomorrow I will try to put her back with her flock. She is one tough little cookie! She is smaller now than they are and her skin is hanging very loosely but I bet she catches right up. She is still telling them that she is the BOSS! If ya'll want me to I'll try to type up a summary of this event and how I treated her (with appropriate credit to all my BYC friends who gave me such sound advice along the way) so we will have it for reference somewhere in case someone else needs it. It may not be neccesary but you never know.

Thanks again everyone for your support, especially you Janet! You were always just a phone call away!!!
If we didn't insult each other, we wouldn't feel loved, lol. So glad your goose is better. They pick up the wierdest things, and play in the water with them. I've found all sorts of crazy items in their pools. Last spring, one of my Sebs picked up a little kitten, and drowned it in their pool. :( There was no way the kitten got in it by itself.

Lovely birds, QJ!

Oh and I forgot for GQ:

Pics of my Holderreads order that came a couple days ago.

Silkies, Cayuga (they sent 2 extras so that makes 5!), and 1 Appleyard to add to my trio. I ended up getting 3 Blue fawn, 2 grey, and 1 snowy silkie.

You can see my one chicken that hatched in the background. Who now thinks he's a duck.
I just love the black bills and feet on the cayugas!

Visitors to the pasture

Florida has some of the coolest wildlife. It was a hoot to be driving down the road, and see an alligator crossing the road. Glad I was in a car! LOL

LoL DG, its a Spoonbill, they eat snails, frogs, shrimp (why its pink). We will sometimes get a flamingo in the pasture too. Every known stork, crane ect tend to show up too.

Dutch i should go across the road to the park, 10 foot bull gator over there. he is MASSIVE. Glad he stays over there so far.
