aww looks like it's absorbing the rest of the blood and yolk, very crucial time in the hatching right now.

LEAVE it alone this needs to happen, it's finishing up on all that needs to be done before it completely hatches. Just remember it's working hard thats why it's breathing hard. if the membrane is across it's nostrils then you need to be very careful and use tweezers and just pull it loose from there, being very careful, because of bleeding.

Hey, Miss Lydia.....one of our faves....never forgotten!

Here in Utah, that that yucky stuff is a well known friend....well, NON friend. Hate it, hate being cold, hate having to bundle up, BUT......my hubby built us a fireplace a couple of years ago, so that is the ONE thing I....dare I say LOVE....about winter. Our favorite thing is to turn it on in the mornings and the evenings....we do our homework reading in front of it every night, and I let my kids eat their breakfast in front of it in the mornings....nice for them to get out of the shower freezing and sit in front of it to toast themselves up! Other than that......HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE winter!

Thanks for sharing pictures......that is what we need.....I LOVE looking at pictures. Keep them coming.......especially the pictures of them OUT of the egg completely. Looking forward to that.

Guess I am not going to be much of a lurker today......gonna be a poster. Thanks for letting me in!

NO because she doesn't have hands. The only reason I'd help is if the membrane was glued across the nostrils and it looked in trouble. Don't just assume it is, watch closely to be sure before trying to help.
