Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Thanks IU. I'll just keep putting on my big girl panties and muddle through it all.

Sold the Mallard Drake. I'm happy he won't hurt my other ducks anymore but I'm going to miss him

. I was really hoping the geese would go first.

Hi everyone! So I think my two runner duck eggs failed with about a week left to go, I don't see any movement anymore but I am leaving them in just in case. So that leaves my 5 muscovy eggs I put in with the 3 dozen I purchased.

One of the goslings is showing signs of neurological problems

. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with the special needs Turkey. The other Turkey is beginning to get pissy. I can't rehome the White Chinese Geese to save my life. Plus no one wants to take the Mallard Drake. This has not been my week

Hey Wulf! sorry to hear about the runner eggs. Hopefully the scovy ones will be okay!

Quick Spirit update... She slowly learned how to manage outside on grass and has been in backyard all day. She is still outside, resting easy in a small pen. Will bring her inside in a little bit. Vet had me give her meticam and assist her, like one would assist a toddler learning to walk. He said that whilenit may be really hard to watch her struggle, the videos he saw were what he was hoping to see. He told me to stick it out and see if she continues improve in the next few days. At night, if piling towels into a small pen does not work, then I am to kennel her.

I know how you feel. I've got entirely too many drakes, and the khaki guy I rescued is picking on hubby's runner drake so him and the rouen girl are going on CL tomorrow if the 2 runner girl ducklings I ordered get here safe tomorrow. The call drakes are being a pain to the little gray call, and if they don't sort it out soon one of them might have to go too.

It's so much easier when everyone's happy.

Hope your scovies hatch!

Hi everyone. Our babies are all doing great, I'm happy to say. The dewlap toulouse are nearly as big as the sebbies now, and they are pulling slightlty ahead of Lucky, who appears to finally be slowing down in growth.

Now that they babies are in their big new pen, hopefully the waterlilies they trashed in the pond will recover. Poor things!
