oh, and yes. makes them a eve better quardian... we owned the great, great, great grandma (or how many greats..whatever) and she did great with everything! except baby animals like baby goats. she thought they were all hers and wouldnt let the mama near the babies.... but all the other females me had did great with babies. males tend to be more playful puppies.
 
I've talked to a bunch of breeders that have told me you have to teach them what to protect. So if it's ducks they go with you to feed them, water them, etc. Not to Play with them, but to teach them that they are "yours".

No, I just remember they have them because he contacted me awhile ago to see if I wanted la fleche eggs. Dang, now I'm thinking about emailing back to see if they still have the la fleche. I love their combs, such neat looking birds.
Jaz- Creating your own sounds like fun, but it'll take a long time. If you're going to do something like that why not create your own? Like an auto sexing silkie that lays blue eggs? Or bantam legbars?
 
I actually make my own organic cider vinegar with scoby's. Same as braggs only ALOT cheaper, and I make brines & maridades out of it, you want to make your own I will send you a mother & how to do it VERY easy ! to make your own vinegar & kombucha

HAHA! who told you THAT!? we played with evey puppy we got and it was FINE! they protected those sheep like it was THEIR puppies! if you want them to protect sheep then you have to raise the pups with the lambs,,, but i have a feeling you arent gonna do sheep....

heres what i did with our puppies! if one tried to mess with one of my birds i would smack it on the head, point to the bird, talk in a really deep voice and say "NO! bad dog! that is MY bird! you leave it GO!" they learnd very quick not to mess with my stuff. i wasnt about to deal with a 100lb dog attacking my birds every 2 seconds. just show em whos boss, and they will learn.
 
Oh! JZ, I would love some in a few months! For some reason I make gallons of Kombucha in the summer, but interest in drinking it wanes in the winter, so I keep having to track down a new scoby. But, I don't know how to make ACV, that could come in really handy!! Teach me!! :)
