I THINK MY DUCKS FORGOT WHAT BED TIME MEANS!
i go out to pen them in. so i shut the mamma and baby chickens up first.
well then my ducks come running outside quacking wanting treats.
like really. its pitch black. snowing, and cold. you guys should be in bed.

Hello Ladies. lets see if I can get everybody.
QJ - I have no idea where DG has been. I have not talked to her much the last couple days.
CG - Just having a hard time being off all of my pain pills for 2 days now. Having some withdrawals.
BJD - Are you feeding your ducks Oyster shell with their grain? They need it to make their shells hard. If she still is walking strange, pick her up and massage her tummy and push very gently down towards her vent. Make sure you have Osyter Shell for them.
IU - My horse is about 40 minutes away from home. I have a 6 year old paint named Beau that I love so much. I was going out tonight but my hubby is going to be home tonight now, so hje is going out to feed and hay the horses and goats. My daughter has 4 horses out there and her and I both have a goat. Well I should say my horse has 2 goats since he has laminitis and can't go out to the pasture with the other horses. Hubby will send me a picture of "Beau kissing mommy" when he goes out there tonight. He is an own son of Mr. Norfleet.

I think I got everybody.

Julie, sounds great to me! Lockdown in 12 days.

QJ, DG posted last night that she would be gone someplace most of the day.

SM, you ok? How far away is your horse (by the way, breed & age??)? I find that the mere hugging on my horses soothes my soul on even the worst day.

My hatching calendar is:

11 cayuga & 1 ancona - lockdown scheduled for Jan 31st
12 ancona - lockdown scheduled for Feb. 19th

Still debating on getting some goose eggs to set with the ancona eggs.....

Do you like your geese? Are they friendly? Loud?
I really like africans, love the looks of them but I'm afraid they are going to be really loud. I already have a rooster and quacking ducks and crowing coturnix, so I don't need something really quiet, but I don't want something obnoxiously loud either.

Becky- I wouldn't worry too much about it. If she's still walking funny tmw then I'd do what SM said. There is a bunch of info on here about that. If you wanna read some of it, you might feel better. (Makes me feel better anyway.


SM: Withdrawls. Bummer. Drink lots of water and if you have lemon juice put a squirt in there.
