Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

How were they packed? Taking notes here in case I ever ship eggs, lol.

Yes, I'm taking notes too. This is the way I like them shipped to me.
Wrapped in bubble wrap, individually, but taped with packing tape not normal tape. (Easier to open)
And then newspaper and peanuts in the bottom, put the eggs in, and then paper on the top.

It was kind of like he made a nest in the box. They were PERFECT!!

When I got mine yesterday, each egg was wrapped in bubble wrap, taped with packing tape, then set into a box that had bubble wrap on the bottom and the sides. Then she put that box in another box that had bubble wrap around the smaller one so it would not move at all. it was GREAT!

SM, this is my first! I just began attempting hatching anything a month ago, when hubby decided he wanted baby ducks for Christmas. I have been shopping for geese to add to our pair for a couple of months, but they are super hard to find locally. Since I am determined to keep getting duck eggs until we hatch a small flock, I figure what the hell, it doesn't hurt to try to hatch geese too.

Busy trying to clean the house and keep the kids from destroying it. Having people over tomorrow for baby's cake and ice cream, would like it to be halfway clean still then.

I have been hatching for a short time too. First time, they all died. Second time, one hatched but died 3 days later. This last set I had out of 12, 7 hatch but then one died 3 days later. I just got 17 Welsh Harlequin, 2 White Chinese geese, 2 Brown Chinese geese, and 5 german chicken eggs. Just put them in incubator today. I have never hatched geese or chickens.
