If you hatch your africans, I'd say get more african eggs. Then cull the extra boys once the gender is known. Just my 2 cents.
I think it's cheaper just to buy them. Plus I don't think I'd be so attached to goslings I order as one's I hatch. Maybe I'll put up a want ad on craigslist for african goose eggs, and see if I get any responses. If I don't need them shipped I'll get a better hatch and make it more worth it.
I put my ad on craigslist. I'd already talked with someone about chinese goose eggs, I can't find her email though. Doesn't hurt to see what else is out there though. My luck I'll get a dozen and hatch out all girls. My BO's I started with ended up being 4 pullets, one mean roo. I bought my silkies straight run, they were all girls. Got my EE from the roo bin at the feedstore because I WANTED an EE roo, I have a very pretty EE pullet. I only had 2 roos out of my last batch of 10 chicks I hatched. My ducks were all straight run and all girls. I had to go find an adult drake for them, and I thought for sure he didn't even like girls for the longest time.
