Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Here's a pic of the new cheepers. I have one more that I put in there last night, and one that is not progressing after pipping. I'll have to help it, but it's pipped on the wrong end of the egg.

A couple of chicks haven't pipped yet but are going to town inside the egg. I'm getting ready to go help them.

My daughter says last night, "Mommy, can we get a diaper for Beaker? His poops are getting bigger."

The babies are getti.g SO BIG SO FAST. I wish big foot would had made it. It would be fun watching them grow uo on this thread.

Well I set my eggs. Who is with me? Anybody? My temp is at 1011 and himidity is around 65. How ia that? Am I where I should be?

I am in bed a lot the nexy couple days. I have a cold tryying to come om and I can't get sick with surgery being on Monday. I have a bake sale for 4h tomorrow so I am not sure what I am going to do.

Hey, tell me a little about 4H. We have one here that I'm wanting to sign my daughter up. What kinds of things do you do? She wants to "show" a chicken in the state fair and all that jazz.

I want to know too! My oldest has been wanting to join, I've just been waiting until the 2 little ones are older and not so much trouble so it'll be easier to find a sitter for them.

They are adorable. Do you plan on selling ducklings in the spring? I would love a pair of mallards once I've thinned out my chicken flock some.

Thank goodness you know what to do, I'd be a nervous wreck thinking i had to help one out. And I guess you better order a diaper harness now

That would be ideal. Right now I'm trying to "master" the duck hatching thing. It's harder than it looks! It might be easier just to sell duck hatching eggs!

My dog just got a chicken. I found it huddled in a pile of leaves. (not dead, just missing some feathers.)

But in my dog's defense, it's so windy here part of the top blew off the run. So I KNOW this chicken jumped out and into the yard. And she didn't kill it at least. Just Played with it. I don't see blood, but the chicken is in shock right now. And it's wing might be broken.

Poor Tweedle-Dee. The escape artist.
