Happy Thankfuving everyone!

Sorry for spelling it wrong...will blame my phone for that one!!!!

Do people give presents or is it mainly about a special meal and family?​

It's just a big meal consisting of Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and cranberries. All other involved foods are optional.

It's a celebration of the pilgrims making it through the first winter in the new world (America). And the Indians teaching them how to plant and harvest foods successfully. At the end of the season they had a big feast to give thanks to God and their new found friends, the Indians.

Now we celebrate to remember what those people went through to achieve religious freedoms, and to reflect on the blessings that God has given us through the year as a family.

It's also kind of molded into a "Christmas Kick-Off" of sorts.

(The religious perspective anyway.)

People who aren't really religious... I guess they just eat. LOL!!​

The little sticky one I named PeeWee and he is SO small. His fur never fluffed up so he's not fluffy and cute, and he's the same size as the new ones that hatched yesterday. He is eating and drinking okay though. (And he's very loud.)

The one with splayed leg is walking great, just with a little limp in one leg. But it will outgrow that.

I'm going to brave the shopping crazies today, so wish me luck!

Some people go to Walmart.. as for me and my family, ... we will be at Tractor Supply!!

Good morning everybody. Tired of draagging my HUGE foot around. I don't get to go far .... couch, bathroom, bed, couch, bathroom, bed. I did sneak outside though, when the wardens were napping, I got to go see my birds. They all came up to the door and were just talking away to me Quack quackquackquack.

. They love their moma. How is everybody else doing?

I'm getting ready to hit the Tractor Supply with my mom. My kids LOVE that store and picked out some toys... !!!! I'm so excited to have Rural children despite our Urban environment. (For now, trying to find some acreage.)

My husband says if we don't find something soon he'll wake up to chickens in his bed.

He may be right.

And QJ have fun, I'll just brows the stores from my computer, I don't like crowds at all. But watch out in case TSC has fuzzy butts, actually you could sneak a few in and then on Christmas morn put them in bed with dh and his prophecy would be true.

of course your hatching your own fuzzy butts so your got a jump start already..
