If the humidity goes to low then take off the handles for a second, pour in water, and put the handles back on. Thats how I would do it. Goodluck, and good night!

PS: never mind of the chicken question, I found out

OMG that looks almost exactly like the one I used as a kid. My Grandma had given it to me. She was a teacher and used it in her classroom.

I just took a trip down memory lane!

Do you have a hydrometer in there? I'm assuming... Cuz you can put a small wash cloth in there and then when you open the lid, pour a little water on it to bring the humidity back up. That's what I do.

That's quite the incubator! If you want to keep the humidity higher, you can add damp sponges. I use those in little tin foil trays to hold more water and keep my humidity up

I'm SSSSOOOOOO tired! My husband had this great idea that we could finally paint our bedroom (we've been sitting here with paint for a year), so we went mad the last three days and just finished up. It looks wonderful. It's huge and has 10' vaulted ceilings. But, oh boy, are we both beat! We had to prime one wall that was dark red twice, paint the ceiling, then today we painted the walls and the floor trim. Somewhere in there I managed to paint four sliding closet doors, the door into our bedroom and the door in to the bathroom too. Tomorrow we'll go to the kid's house and have a big family turkey dinner - one of our family had to work on Thanksgiving, so we opted for the one day everyone was off. I'm looking forward to just hanging out for a day!

Granny- That is SUCH a big job. I know what you went through! I bet your arms and wrists are killing you. (Mine were after my house painting excursion.) But I bet it looks great, and tonight you can sleep in that "I think I still smell paint" smell that will last for a couple days.

Evelle- Nothing wrong with that bator. I wish I still had my Grandmas. I only use a wash cloth because I didn't have any sponges. So I get my humidity up to 75 and then pull the cloth out and it comes down to 70. It's just what I do. You'll find the thing that works for you. I'm excited for your babies!!!!! What do you have in there besides that Rouen? I can't read the other eggs.

i have 8 rouen KC X and one ancona KC x

OH cool!

Funny... my husband said the same thing. But then today he helped me move Beaker and Bunsen to the garage. They had been in my living room, but they are at what I call the Stinky Stage. We converted the dog kennel into the duck kennel.

i wish i had a garage!!
