What's your humidity at?

well you know what 70 would say......

I'm having troubles with my humidity. It doesn't wanna go over 60. I have a glass of water and a wet washcloth in there but it just doesn't wanna go up. I have the incubator in the bathroom so I'm going to move it into my bedroom beside my bed. Not sure if the bathroom is getting drafty or not. It's what they call a jack and jill bathroom, it's a bathroom that has a bedroom on either side of the bathroom. So maybe it is pulling in a draft from either of the rooms. So I made room on my side of the bed and I will have hubby move the incubator there tonight when he gets home from work. He will probably grump about it when the babies start coming but he's gone most the time anyway. And with his snoring I don't see how he could hear anything anyways. The babies will probably come early because they hear that snoring and it scares them. I'm hoping that being in my bedroom in a corner I can control that humidity a little better.

I would just shut Jack's door and put a towel at the bottom. You can turn the shower on hot for a few minutes and see what happens.

How wet is your washcloth? I keep a washcloth in the incubator and then when humidity gets low I pour warm water directly on it. It raises in about 5 mins.

What do you have in there now to help with the humidity? Don't you dare open it. Lock down means lock down. Are there holes on the top of your incubator? If there is you can squirt water in there
But don't open it. you are too close the hatch day.

One more thing: With this hatch I took a q tip and swabbed a little water on the eggs everyday. I will know here in awhile if it assisted my hatch or not. But I figure it couldn't hurt. I read it on a website.. can't remember which one now, but it was a duck hatchery. Holderreads maybe?
