They're precious! And show me a duck brooder that isn't messy. I cleaned mine out yesterday and it's a mess AGAIN today. I tried vent sexing too... and got ALL hens! LOL!!

When my gander was tiny, I vent sexed him and yup goose, boy was I wrong..

Well, it's a sunny Saturday afternoon here. I've dug half the sand out the duck pens and washed it in the wheelbarrow then put it back. Should be good for another couple of months now. Just pooper scoopering the top will be enough for a bit. I also dug a drain from the duckling's pen cause it was getting a bit manky when I hosed it out. Better now.

I'd join in the snowball fight but we have no snow here. Usually we do in winter though on the mountains round here.

Having home-made pizza for dinner:
- tomato, mozzarella, basil pesto and prosciutto
- tomato, mozzarella, salami, artichoke hearts, fresh basil
- ham and pineapple and gruyere cheese

Then a cherry cake with ice cream for dessert. We have a big cherry tree. Cake made with duck eggs of course! We have a few people coming over.

OOOO Evelle- That sun dried tomato one sounds good. What do you guys use for your crust? I like that Marth White and the Walmart brand is really good too. And the jiffy crust is pretty much awesome. Or do you guys make the crust from scratch? I've never done that...

Cherry tree is a bit hard to photograph because it's not out in the open. Plus BYC has turned two of them sideways...dunno what to do about that. So just kind of put your head to the left

The cherry tree shades the duck pen.

make my crust from scratch its really easy. 5 have the walmart brand if i need it but i need a lot of those to make my pizza they dont make a very large pizza they make a small med pizza..

i make my own laundry soap too!!!! so much cheaper!!!! what "soap" do you use i usally use the fels-naptha, but i have used dove and ivory
