I just went and checked on my broodie's eggs. 2 have pipped internally so far. I picked them up and they were peeping and shaking. So I should have baby chicks here soon. I have to sell them, I have too many chickens right now, but once I sell them and a few of my older pullets I'll have enough room to give my broody some duck eggs once she's broody again. Or her sister who is taking a break but will probably be broody again by next week.

My quail have started crowing. They sound like teeny raccoons fighting, took me awhile to figure out where that sound was coming from.

Hopefully they'll start laying within the next couple of weeks, and I can get my incubator back up and running.
