I took a brown box and made sure my egg crate would fit. Took each egg and wrapped each one in bubble wrap and put tape around each egg. After that I took some commercial cling wrap and wrapped the crap out of all the egg crate then put another egg carton on theo bottom of thei box with some more bubble wrap. Set the egg crates in box put more egg carton on top with bubble wrap and then. Taped the box up tight with packing tape. I went to a Pack-and-ship UPS because I had my grandson's presents for them to pack. Told them what was in the box- Duck eggs. Paid extra for the 3 day delivery and that was that. 3day was all they could offer right now with Christmas.

I'd say after all of that they shouldn't have any problem arriving safe.

The cold weather hasn't stopped my silkies one bit. One is taking care of her chick she hatched, the other is my only chicken laying right now, so I'm sure she'll start setting again soon.

SM wait, ev doesnt have alot of room in her bator. i think 12 is her max...

i have my mind set on getting 4 splash silkies

i love splashes. makes me sad that my splash orp died

Well I haven't even had one yet, but hopefull New Years Day I'll have something hatch. Probably just some of my own banty eggs I threw in kind of as an experiment. I put 3 in the refrigerator for a week and 3 freshly laid to see if the refrigerated ones would hatch. Two of my shipped eggs (Flower Hen) were cracked, and they were bubble wrapped and packed in shredded paper. The box looked OK, but I think they really got thrown around.

I put wax on them and so far they haven't leaked or stunk.

We are through the air cell and working on pipping. Woo Hoo! Of course this little duck will be kinda lonely. And I DID just get into trouble tonight for the mess Beaker made in the bathtub.

I think hubby had a bad day at work or something...

My silly little spoiled ducks have spent all night camped outside my front door waiting for peas. The last few hours before they finally went to bed, the girls were sleeping while mister duck kept watch. It's been raining for the past three days, there's tons of mud and puddles to play in, but they are determined to stalk me so they can demand their peas.

He doesn't even really like them. He didn't grow up eating them, it took a few months before he'd eat them and he's still not very enthusiastic about them, but he'll do whatever he has to to keep his girls happy I guess.

The two headless one legged blobs are the napping girls. You can see Mister in front of them watching the door for me to come out with something other than the camera.

that's okay! You where just looking out for me DG!!!! it was kinda confusing since we talked about how many through email and not the thread.
