Interesting about the refrigerator hatches. Nice little experiment. People up north here usually keep hatching eggs in the fridge because it's too hot everywhere else.

Sad news

I lost little chicky last night
he was a silkie

I was giving vit and chick saver like you guys told me
at least I feel I did everything I could have

nothing else hatched

oh well

my silkies are still laying hope they are fert.

wish my call ducks where laying
SM would take you up on your ducks

but I have TOO MANY big ducks right now
I dont remeber having that many

I am hoping to get more silkie and orb eggs

but very upset right now

bad First time with the bater

I don't know if it was because of being my first time incubating, or that they were shipped eggs. The corner of the box was smashed, there were quite a few cracked. Since I'm using all my eggs this hatch I guess I'll find out when the one's in there either hatch or don't.

OK, Well I have a pretty good sized pip on this duck egg. Looks like it hit a vein though. There's a little blood there. I will say though, this is the best pip I've gotten ever. Almost the size of a dime. Hoping it can do this on it's own.
