Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

One just hatched!!! YAAAYYYY!!! I will admit to opening the bator for about 5 seconds to move it from the tray to a little towel inside. Is it bad if their little heads can reach the heating element at the top?? He is so strong! He keeps sitting upright and looking around at everything!! SOOOO cute! Now the kids are crowded around the incubator with a flashlight!

There is one with a nice size hole that I keep seeing a bill pop out of. It is kind of at the back of the egg. They are in some plastic egg crates (the kind you take camping), because they needed to be at an angle because of the air cell disruption thing.

we would love to see pics once she/he fluffs up.

Sure thing!! Today was supposed to be a work day. Not much work getting done around here!! All this adrenaline should be applied to something, eh??

lol. use it to your advantage,
if they want to watch the other duckies hatch they need to do some schoolwork.
give them a set amount of time before they can go check the incubator agan.
it may make the time go faster for everyone
orr. get some help with housework

you call eggs are the ones that have been in for 2 days correct?
did they all look okay when you got them?
what are the other eggs?
lol sorry uve prolly mentioned it but with everyone having eggs in lately its hard to keep track.
almost need a big flow chart =)

oh and did you see the price on the ancona eggs?
$15

I know! It gets confusing! I've thought about writing everything down that everyone's hatching so I can remember better.

I have blue laced red wyandottes that I put in 2 days ago. So I'm thinking they have the best chance of making it. The others (lav orps and light sussex) were in for 7 days. I don't think the fan has been working the hole time, but I just noticed the crazy temp thing yesterday. (and I check temps 20 times a day).

I saw veining in 3, but... we'll see. Luckily I didn't spend crazy money on them...

15 bucks! That's actually kinda good for DG!

AWESOME!!! We have a rule in this thread that pics most follow hatches within 2 or 3 hours. Just FYI!!!!

(I made that rule up just now.)
