oh and grandma is showing interest in all this finally.
she aasked what other breeds were on ebay .

I saw rouens on there yesterday. Give people time and they start to come around! How could you NOT love ducks?!?

they price went up on them quick .
lol if i had patience id just wait till march and id have my own.
butt like many of us i am challenged in that area. =)
i have it all figured out if i get eggs before the end of jan. 1st week of feb, at the latest.
i will have babies for my goslings. =))

It is Series 1200. I can only find info on the 1202 on their website. I emailed them hoping they have some directions in their archives. Because my dad can't remember everything about how Grandpa operated this one.

The one I have plugged in is working great. I noticed last night the one I haven't tried yet does NOT have the self turner, but when talking to my brother, he remembered there was a way to turn the eggs by sliding the bottom out somehow. I just don't want to turn 300 eggs by hand!
They also make hatchers I think, I'd have to do more research though, but maybe you have an incubator and a hatcher?

Oh, good idea! One of them (I think the first one who hatched) has been very active, all over the incubator. He climbed up on the trays I have in there, and crawled across to the other tray. I think he was trying to get to the little one with the beak out who is peeping his heart out! ;)
If they are all fluffed up you can put them in the brooder. I like to leave mine in there as long as I can to encourage the others to hatch.
