Cocoa, thanks for the coop info. Can't wait to see it when finished and occupied by ducks. I took a picture of our coop yesterday and will post it for suggestions in a little bit.

SM! Love your overo boy! He looks a lot like my hubby's mare with that pie face. I got a fun pic of her yesterday (when taking pics of coop) while she was being cow'y with the geese. The slower goose had to flap wings to get away from her. Then she looks at me as if to ask "What did I do? You didn't see me with my nose to the ground following the geese, did ya?" And CONGRATS about your goose eggs!! I will be getting my eggs tomorrow or Wednesday. Between you and Julie, I am getting hopeful that they may actually be fertile and possibly develop.

I don't know if I can drink whole milk from a cow. I'm lactose intolerant, so have to drink 1 or 2%. How long does it take to milk a cow? And do you milk them once or twice a day? I have horses, but never had cows, which would probably be a much wiser use of hay/grain. HAHAHA But I don't think I can ride a cow, (although I have heard it can be done). Sorry, it must be that glass of wine with dinner.

I've ridden a steer before.. but that kind of experience can end badly.

Have to milk twice a day, took us about 30 to 45 minutes to milk a Holstein.
