The problem of trying to help Mr Worf dry is now I have what will likely turn into three more battle scars... I really need full body armor when handling my muscovys. And unfortunately he and Keiko are my two most friendly ducks. Next time I am going to have to hand raise some babies and maybe they will be tamer.

Or maybe I will just have to get some welsh harlequins

Try leather welding gloves. I bought a pair for handling drakes. I got mine for $10 at a hardware store. They go up to your elbows.

WH are pretty. My ducks scratch me too if I pick tem up. And bite. Their claws might not be as long as scovies, but they work pretty good. I'd picked them up a few days before I went to the dr. once, and had to explain it was my ducks scratching my wrist and not me hurting myself, lol. Had a little bit of a black eye once too from my turkey catching it with her wing, lol.

Yep I have had to explain my wrist scratches too. I was able to catch Keiko relatively easily and put her in the tub with Mr Worf so he would have his girlfriend/buddy to hang out with. Partially it is their size too. The hens are much easier to handle since they are smaller.
The drakes remind me of world wrestling or Mortal Combat...Scovy Drake VS. puny human. I think it could make a good comic short

You guys were really quiet last night. Ithink I saw the last post was like at 8:30 or something. I counted on you guys to work hard to help get us to the 10,000 posts. I am starting early again. **** hubby. He takes his clothes into the living room at night so he can get deeded out there without the bathroom light shining under the door.

Problem is he goes into the bathroom first to brush his teeth and do his preready stuff. And leaves the door open. Grrrrrr.
