I have one cayuga egg like that right now. It has the a very misformed aircell. But, the little embryo is growing. I think it will make it to hatch.

Since my bator is small, I have no choice but to set my goose eggs horizontally. Hope their air cells did ok in the shipping!

SM, hubby is looking at how to slaughter and pluck ducks. I laugh at him. Like he's going to be able to kill anything he raised from birth. No way that's happening!!

My neighbor is always asking about buying a duck so he can eat it. He knows how to kill them and everything, He is mexican and loves to eat ducks, goats, lamb. Tried to get me to eat some lamb and goat one time. NO WAY. they are too cute to eat. He bought a hog one time and butchered it in the back yard and cooked everything of the hop and ate it. I mean EVERYTHING.

Put I am not sure where I am going to put all of them. I put the other ones I just had in the tub. I can't put all of the babies in there if they all hatch.. thats close to 30 babies!!!

Buy a kiddie pool. They should start selling them soon, swimsuits have been out a few weeks already.

Then buy some chicken wire and wrap it around the sides. If I can figure out where to put it that's what I'm doing.

I put them in my bator pointy end down, they rotated just like my chickens & turkeys. I put them in LD at day 28. They hatched on day 30-31. They are all doing great!
I hatched White Chinese Geese ( I kept my Humidity at 83-85) According to my manual it calls for humidity of 84-86.

He was trying to figure a way to get in there. Luckily my run is covered! I don't think there's any way he can get in there. I should have paid attention more to the signs. The little birdies (about 40 of them) that sit and wait for the ducks to be done eating so they can get the leftovers... well, they were nowhere around. And I remember thinking, "That's weird. Where are my little birdies?" The minute that owl left, here they came. So now I'll pay more attention to the little birdies.

Oh he could get them if he really wanted to. They are sneaky

The only reason I haven't ate one of my ducks honestly is because I like duck skin. There's no way I'm going to pluck a duck, so my ducks are safe. Unless one gets really mean.
