OMG I was watching that auction!! I want some so bad. Julie found that ad on Craigslist, and I'm debating just driving there for chicks as opposed to eggs.

Anyway, I saw these on ebay today and saved them in my watch list. I thought you would LOVE them. Could be wrong... but they looked like you. Or whatever.

In the McMurray book it says: The Chinese goose originated in China from the wild Asiatic Swan goose. The most distinguishing feature of the Chinese geese is their raised knob. White Chinese is the most prolific egg laying goose and it is not unusual to have them lay in the fall or winter. The earliest record of the Chinese geese in America is in the correspondence of George Washington, who in 1788 received a pair from Governor Morris, The Brown Chinese goose is smaller than the white with identical coloring to the African goose. Chinese geese are a more "talkative" breed of goose. Due to this characteristic, they are the best breed if you wabt to be alerted to intruders or other strange occurances.

They sound great actually. I just couldn't have them here in the burbs. But luckily I'm moving to the middle of nowhere and so that shouldn't be a problem.

Hmmm..."Talkative" geese? Do you suppose they could get a word in edgewise living with QJ?

Jeremiah just texted me and said that his back is really swollen and that they sent him home. Told to keep ice on it and then come back in 2 days to see if the swelling is down so they can do CT. How stupid are those people? He could have something broken in his back. Oh they piss me off.
