Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

just thought i would metion i am totaly in love with my fuzzballs.
when i talk the listen and then make noises back .
i love it.
and the just push the peanuts out of their way its funny.
they are like mini bulldozers.

abagail needs a bath tho she has hatching gunk on her neck and face.
so maybe saturday they will have a small swim. if grandpa leaves.

I've given everyone bowls big enough to splash around in, but not real baths yet. I didn't really want to deal with the mess inside. If I can get the kids to bed early enough tonight I might go ahead and fill up the bathtub for the little monsters though. They need it after the mess they made last night, they are still all yucky in spots.
I got the big pool fixed for the big ducklings, who are just about all the way waterproof. Now I need to go dig up some cinder blocks and make steps in and out for them.

Wonderful self control. I am good at self control at tsc too, mostly because they never have 6 of anything I want.

Agreed. But they had the Cutest little chickys marked "Bantam mixed". Oh my gosh they were so little. I would have gotten a couple IF they were pullets.. for broodys. I'm done with this incubation crap. (ok not really).

None of our geese flock or stay with our ducks. Our ducks also don't want to stay with the geese. The ganders will fence fight with each other. The ducks run in and out of some of the yards, but the flocks keep to themselves for the most part.

Buffy had that on her neck too.
How come you have to wait?

i wanna let them settle in for a little while.
and if grandpa knew i was going to put them in the bathtub he would have a fit.
he doesnt even like me giving the dog a bath in there
