Julie - way cute pics! I love that hens are such a fine example of getting along. (from time to time)

Thanks. They were such cute mommies together. After the chicks hatched sometimes I'd find the silkie under the BO along with the babies. The BO was taken by a raccoon

when the babies were like 7 weeks old, a few days after the silkie decided they were big enough and went back to the coop. BO momma did a good job though, the raccoons got her but all the chicks survived. She was the only one I had that ever went broody though, which sucks cause she covered more eggs and made a better momma I think then the silkies.

Question:

Has anyone had problem brooding goslings, chicks, and ducklings together?

I've raised geese and ducks together but weren't sure if chicks would be a issue with goslings. In particular bantam chicks.

so far (its only day 1)
the chicks are so much messier than the baby geese.

Internal to external can be 12 hours, they are darn slow and like to keep us waiting, you sure you don't have a small cone shaped spider crack in the one egg?

I'm sure. I'm watching like a hawk. (pardon the hawk reference.) But I can see it's beak pecking and it's pretty textbook. Looks exactly like Pete55 posted.

Gosling and Ducks need UNMEDICATED food. Chicks can live with it, but they might get a little wet, or try to hide under mama gosling! It'll probobly make for some cute pics!
