Jaz, congrats on an amazing hatch with the anconas!!

I wish I would have saved that last one.... Then I would have had 24 out of 24 shipped eggs ~ I guess technically they did all hatch alive.... UGH I was so close

I really never suspected to hatch that many, I was thinking at least 50% BUT now I have 23 little quackers & MAN ARE THEY CUTE

The cutest ducks I have hatched by far! I think I have an addition to hatch Cayugas & Anconas

I can give you the ebay identity of the extremely good dealor I got mine from. As far as I know, he's the only one with the English lines (outbred only once) These eggs are big, and some are really big, and mind you I see peking eggs every day.

I wish i could send you parents and not just eggs.

Ok dumb question: You don't have to be there to check on the Emus?? Humidity and stuff?

They take like 45 days or something.... I will check more into it when the time comes & the bator I bought was originally set up just for emus. So my water trough in my bator doesn't need refilling but every 5 days, so I will have my nieghbor or Cheeko refill it, other than that I will just leave them be. THAT is if I can find some at that time.

At the Auction there was like 10 Emu eggs ! They all went for $13 & $10 each

The Giant Pekings are in, 80% embryo growth, thats pretty good.

Jaz, may I recommend Sebrightmom for cayuga eggs? She's a great lady with sq stock. I had excellent fertility with her eggs and love the ducklings that hatched out. On the other hand, I have ordered 2 sets from pidgey now and they arrived scrambled both times. The 1st set I had always 100% blamed me for only having 1 go to lockdown (and then died in shell). Most got blood rings around day 7. But now I am wondering because this 2nd set is also problematic. All 13 have totally detached cells and fluid issues. I have already tossed 2 blood rings with a careful eye to toss a possible 3rd. I do have 4 with spiders on day 8 and 4 more hopeful to develop, so I am really pulling for them to hatch because I think her stock is beautiful and would be perfect mates for my trio from sebrightmom's hatch. I'm not sure I'd order again from pidgey, but I would definitely get more eggs from sebrightmom. I'm just saying, for what it's worth.

OH & that little Twit CHEEKO is a horrible enabler, she was next to me when I was

over ....My Precious.... & I said I would love to get them, but I don't have a bator for them.... & guess what she said...

Then Thank Harlem Globetrotters my hubby was standing right next to me ~ I looked at him ~ he looked at me ~ I looked at ....My Precious..... ~ Then Looked at Hubby & I got that ....look ~ & ladies who have hubbies no the look I am talking about ~ So if he wasn't there

I agree 100%! Those are hubby and my top 2 favorites!! Oh... and fyi... I think I have 100% fertility going with Thistle Down ancona eggs. Not to tempt you with another ancona egg source.

They are at 9 days today. Ordered 10, and he sent 12 plus a note to let him know how many candled ok at a week.

I set 12, but one was sooo big it fell out of my duck turner. So, while it actually was canded ok, except that giant dented in area, I tossed it.

I won then on ebay for $15.50 and $15.99 shipping. No damage in shipping, but due he did ship on their sides, but all individual wrapped, with extra bubble wrap everywhere. In fact, i was thinking about asking him to sell me more eggs!
